Also with the pain, you get naucious. Bad nausia. You feel like you will throw up, often.
Headaches are another part of lyme. For some people they are worse than others. I get migraines on the top of my head, and on my forehead, and in my sinus area. And here's a tip. Don't eat broccoli if you have a headache, it just makes it worse.
Different people with Lyme have different symptoms. Like joint pain is another major symptom. I have bad pain on both of my knees when I stand up or come down the stairs, which is a part of Lyme. Some people with Lyme lose feeling in their hands and arms. It just really depends on the person.
But the main problem for me is stomach pain. That's how this whole thing started.
Hi Alexa. I hope you have a good Lyme Doctor on your side. I am sure you probably realize Lyme is extremely controversial. On Tuesday, Carolina Lyme organization is hosting the documentary Under Our Skin in Cary NC at Westwood Baptist Church, 200 Westhigh St, Cary, NC 27513. It begins at 6pm. I'm not sure if your parents have seen the documentary yet, but I highly recommend it. If you aren't aware of the website for Carolina Lyme, it is www.carolinalyme.org
ReplyDeleteHope you're having an okay Lyme kind of day.
Hi Alexa, I just found your blog from the comment you left on Jennifer's blog. I hope you've found a good LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor). They are such a blessing to us. They understand what is going on and can figure out which co-infections you have, etc. They are just priceless! I love mine.
ReplyDeleteMy family has a blog at http://15minutesofdelusion.blogspot.com -- I posted my story there at the beginning of May. It's just a couple of posts down. I have lyme was severely ill for 6 years before getting a solid diagnosis. My husband also has lyme and my 2 daughters (10 and 12) have congenital lyme. They are well so far. But they will be starting treatment this summer.
I hope you are having a 'good' day. If you are on facebook I'd love to be your friend. You can find me as Kara Ruttan Carey. May the Lord bless you with peace and comfort and carry you through the difficult times. {{hugs}} ~Kara
I'm not sure who you'll be seeing in Orlando, but there are several doctors that the Lyme association recommends right here in NC. I do see one of them. I am however uncomfortable giving our his name out to people I do not know in person. But if you contact the Lyme Disease Foundation, they will give you a list of doctors in the area. Make sure you send your story when you send the request so they'll know you're legit. It may help if your Mom emails them.
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys will come to the screening tomorrow. Have your Mom email me if she'd like some information about it.

I'm sure your mom can figure out how to put that together to create my email address. I rarely put it together on a website, but I really am interested in speaking with your mom.
I live near Raleigh.
